Self Righteousness

It amazes me how easy it is for a soft voice with a smile can turn a man from his devoted wife. Like a snake after its prey, easing itself slowly toward it, drawing its prey close while flicking its tongue and waiting for the right moment. Like the woman who knows just what to say to entice a mans appetite, flicking her eyes with a smile, turning a mans heart gradually toward her. A man is not wise when lured thru an appetite formed of self defeat. Self pity has become his devise. Blame becomes his weapon of defense against his guilty conscience. Satans tools begin to take hold one by one until his grip has blinded the true path of righteousness, turning our heads ever so slowly, reminding us of ourselves, our needs, our wants on a daily basis. Helping us to forget our savior, the true one who can save us from ourselves.

Fear & Regret

What two awful binding chains to have around your neck. Two tools of our enemy that he uses to keep us down and cause havoc in our lives. Me. Feeling this huge chasm between my life and a happy ending, Jesus reminds me of his forgiveness.

Luke 7:36-48 her many sins have been forgiven, for she loved much. But he who has been forgiven little loves little.

Psalm 34:5 Those who look on him are radiant, their faces are never covered with shame.
